Forthe first half of class for hte next 5 days, you will be taking notes about a career. I will take some time today to discuss how I want you to do this. For a good grade you must:
- take notes in your journals
- start by listing the source information (you can just paste the URL)
- do not copy and paste entire paragraphs or sections
- read and then copy/paste key points or su
For the second half of class, we will talk about animation in PowerPoint. The best advice I can give you about this is do not overuse animations.

For the next week or so, much of your time will be spent doing activities related to learning about yourself, careers, colleges, and more.
You will do the majority of this work in an journal—you can start a new one or use the old one, but there will be a new numbering system. You will complete 2 entries today:
JOURNAL CR1: When I grow up…
Write as much as you can about what you have thought about as a career at different points in you life. Start from the time you were a little kid. Be descriptive in why you wanted to do that, and what caused you to think otherwise.
JOURNAL CR2: Reality Check
Complete a short survey— Financial Reality Check and write a paragraph summary of your results and what you think about them in your journal.
