We have a 90 minute period today.  It is your final chance to give a presentation and recieve full credit.  If you do not present during class you must come in today during one of the breaks or lunch of you want credit.

It is also the last day to have grades entered for notes and presentation drafts.

We will begin presentations today.  Volunteers will be taken first.  Once there are no volunteers, I will begin calling on people.  If your name is called and you are not ready you can pass.  If  I call all names in the class, and then your name is called a second time, you will lose 5% credit.

Anyone not giving a presentation to the class may give their presentration on Thursday or Friday during the breaks of lunch and recieve 60% credit if the minimum expectations are met.

Today is your last day to work during class on your presentations!

Today is the last day I will accept any past assignments prior to this project.

All grades on the source are entered.

Presentations given today will recieve 10% extra credit.

You need to start creating your PowerPoint slides today.  Try to get all you content on the slides and start on ading pictures.  Wait to do the fancy formatting stuff until tomorrow.

Today I will be grading notes.  You can continue researching, or start planning your presentations.  Your powerpoint drafts are due tomorrow.

You have all period for research.  If you did not look into options for colleges or advanced training options yesterday, you need to do that.  Also, be sure that you have found information on the outlook for employment in your chosen field.

At the end of the period, I will be giving you a homework assignment.

You will have the class period today for research.  We will talk about a bit about resources and you should be focused on finding good information. 

I will be grading your journals today.

For the first few minutes of class, you will write in your journals to answer the following question:  List two things you have learned about research and powerpoint, and list 2 questions you still have?(#30)  I will also be grading these today.

You will have the rest of the period for research and notetaking.  Find a new source that is not one on the list I gave you by using Google or another search engine.

Today you will spend most of the period taking notes.  Remember, you need to complete the notetaking assignment:

Take notes from at least 4 different websites and either type or copy/past key ideas and facts(5 or more per site).  Never copy entire sections or paragraphs!!!

About halfway through the period we will take a break and create MLA citations in your notes, then put them onto slide 10 in your practice PowerPoint.  You will then have more time for research and notetaking.
